Not only did the Australian
Stingers win the recent Test at Sutherland Leisure Centre, they won the series.
Cronulla Sutherland Water Polo Club
once again proved the strength and depth of our programs having five (5) girls
in the Australian Team. They included Goal Keeper Alicia McCormack, Jenna
Santoromito, Mia Santoromito, Erin Douglass and Patrice O’Neill.
Our community was also prominent in
the way this event was conducted. By running an exceptional event and turning
out in force accolades are flooding in and sponsors and allies are suitably
impressed!
An estimated crowd of 1500
spectators witnessed a great game and Coach Greg McFadden singled out our
Alicia McCormack, as “Fantastic in Goal!”
Fantastic also was Glenn Simpson
and his Under 16 Representative Team and our Table Officials and Goal Judges.
Thanks to all of those who made the presentation of this event such a success
and in particular Cronulla Sutherland Water Polo Club’s Management Committee
and the staff at Sutherland Leisure Centre.
